PROGRAMME & ABSTRACT BOOK CPRN 2022

iv Global issues, as well as shifts in technological capacity and digital acceleration, have impacted economies and societies globally, and heightened the need for governments to think more deeply about how to organise education for the future of work so that people have the skills to thrive in a dynamic world. The primary goal of the SEAMEO Centres Policy Research Network (CPRN) is to increase the relevance and sharpen the responsiveness of SEAMEO Centres and the Secretariat to the needs of educational leaders for policy research to address these human resource development issues. As a knowledge- sharing platform, the SEAMEO CPRN helps to strengthen the network of researchers in the region and improve research for holistic human capital development for long-term economic growth and environmental sustainability. The CPRN’s 2022 Summit is aptly themed, “Steering Together in Southeast Asian Education, Science and Culture Policy Research towards a Greater Future” and it will be an opportunity for SEAMEO Centres and Networks to share and learn from one another their research projects and findings. I hope that the Centres can make use of the knowledge and information and translate them into meaningful programmes and activities for regional capacity building in the areas of education, science and culture. This close nexus between research and practice, supported by the CPRN, and the continued alignment of the Centres’ initiatives to the SEAMEO Strategic Plan 2021-2030 and key outcomes of SEAMEO Ministerial Dialogues/ Declarations will help seed new possibilities and keep opportunities alive for our people of Southeast Asia. I wish all participants a fruitful and fulfilling Summit. HE Mr. Chan Chun Sing Minister for Education of Singapore SEAMEO Council President Message from the President, SEAMEO Council
